A Piece of Paper

We received a one-day brief in which we were to try and generate as much interaction as possible from one piece of paper. The size of the paper was pretty big, it wasn't an A size, but I were to try and describe the size, I would say it was around the size of an A1 sheet (or maybe slightly larger).

Obviously with a one-day brief there is not a lot of time to come up with hundreds of ideas, you have to think relatively quickly on your feet and try and develop the best idea you have to the best you can! We decided to create large arms and hands, all hand drawn that were fun and colourful! The idea was to dangle the hands over an exit to Pimlico underground and enthuse people to 'high-five' the hands, both generating interaction and brighting up their day!

I can't exactly remember the number of interactions we had with our piece of paper, but it was well over the 500 hundred mark; which I was very pleased about! We received a very wide response from the public; some very happy to participate and others not so! Dominic Wilcox walked past and gave one of the hands such an energetic high-five that the hand actually broke which was pretty funny!
